South Carolina Association for Middle Level Education Journal
About This Journal
The South Carolina Association for Middle Level Education (SCAMLE) Journal is an open-access, peer-reviewed publication that highlights research-based practices that improve middle schools and the learning that occurs within and outside of the classroom. Readers of this journal are generally teachers, administrators, and other educators who are interested in the issues that young adolescents ages 10-15 and educators of those individuals face. The Journal is published once a year in an online format. It is now fully indexed and available to readers worldwide.
The review process includes a preliminary evaluation by the journal editor for appropriateness, followed by a double blind peer-review process with at least two reviewers from the SCAMLE Journal Editorial Review Board.
Acceptance is determined by the reviewers’ recommendations and balance of topics in the annual issue.
A decision is typically rendered within 6-8 weeks from the call deadline. Please send questions about manuscript submission to the Editor, Deborah McMurtrie, at DeborahMc@usca.edu or SCAMLEJournal@usca.edu.
