The Caroliniana Undergraduate Research Journal is a peer-reviewed, student-led journal dedicated to showcasing the excellence and diversity of undergraduate research at the University of South Carolina.

Our mission is to provide students with a professional platform to publish high-quality, peer-reviewed research across disciplines, fostering scholarly collaboration and intellectual growth. Through rigorous editorial standards, mentorship opportunities, and engagement with faculty, we aim to elevate undergraduate research, enhance academic communication, and contribute to the broader scientific and humanities discourse.

A little about us:

The Caroliniana Undergraduate Research Journal highlights original undergraduate research and creative scholarship at the University of South Carolina. We welcome submissions from all disciplines—including the sciences, humanities, arts, and social sciences—and seek to promote academic excellence, interdisciplinary inquiry, and inclusive scholarship.

We publish:

  • Research articles
  • Literature reviews

All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process conducted by trained undergraduate reviewers and guided by faculty mentors. Our goal is to empower student voices and foster a culture of inquiry and academic engagement across campus. To learn more about CURJ, please see the About this Journal tab.
