Abstract
This senior thesis is a study of the ways in which selected works from the filmography of Ingmar Bergman can be said to contribute to the philosophical discussion of personal identity. In this thesis, Bergman's films are studied in relation to ideas propounded by Hegel, Descartes, Locke, and Parfit, among other considerations.
