About This Journal

The Journal of the South Carolina Academy of Science is an online, peer-reviewed publication dedicated to advancing and disseminating original scientific research conducted within the State of South Carolina. Our core commitment is to showcase the excellent accomplishments of South Carolina Academy of Science members and invited annual meeting winners. Furthermore, the journal proudly publishes articles that highlight the unique natural environment of the state. To ensure the continuity and high visibility of significant scientific work that enriches South Carolina's knowledge base, the journal electronically publish three distinct issues annually: Winter, Summer, and Fall.
