Abstract
Executive Function are higher-order cognitive abilities involved with planning, problem-solving, and self-regulation. Measures of EF have been found to be important predictors of academic performance, school readiness, and developmental disabilities in children. Traditionally, school-based measures of EF have been limited to rating scales or performance measures that are administered by school psychologists only for children referred for a diagnostic evaluation. The current study takes the first steps in validating an automated performance measure of EF. This measure of EF would decrease the current time and monetary demands of assessing EF in grade school children and fits within the broader Response to Intervention (RTI) framework.
