Abstract
Ki: This is a collection of short and long fiction. The material ranges in length from under one page to over two hundred. Sho: This “book-length creative work” (to quote the MFA program) was several years in the making, though that shouldn’t be taken to indicate whether it’s any good. As reader you get to judge for yourself. The material in this work covers a variety of themes, subjects, and viewpoints, none of which shall be listed here, because that would spoil the joy of discovery, wouldn’t it? The last thing that this author wishes to do is undermine your reading experience, much less before it’s even begun. Ten: The author apologizes for any presentational deficiencies or irregularities found within this text, and would have done a few things differently but this is not Nam; there are rules. Sometimes, the rules are the only thing separating us from pure atavism. You are advised to read this text fully unclothed except by bonfire-light. Ketsu: The author intends to share this work for the exclusive enjoyment of the University of South Carolina campus community. He is thrilled to do so. He’s had a wonderful time over these several years, and he’ll see you around.
