Richard Stoffer volunteered to be interviewed for an assignment in Dr. Higbee’s Oral History/English 468 course. The purpose of the interview was to examine how people transition from military to college.
Brief Description of Interview
The interview conducted with Richard Stoffer focused on his life before, during, and after he served in the Navy. His childhood was discussed, including the places he lived and his family. Further into the interview his occupation in the Navy was discussed, what his days consisted of, and eventually his leaving the Navy. Finally, Stoffer discussed his interests, his wife, and what he plans to do after college.
