AI Day 2026
Description
Cocky Scholar was created to extend academic support beyond the Student Success Center’s operating hours, especially after 9:00 p.m. when many students are still studying but no longer have access to in-person help.
The purpose of this project was to supplement student learning during those late-night hours without replacing existing campus resources or completing work for students.
Cocky Scholar was intentionally designed as a custom GPT with clear guardrails that prevent it from giving direct answers to graded assignments. Instead, it uses a structured Socratic approach, asking guiding questions, encouraging students to think through problems, and breaking complex concepts into manageable steps.
