Abstract

In this chapter, we review the current state of knowledge regarding disparities in stroke incidence and mortality and across the continuum of stroke care. We focus on disparities related to race and ethnicity, geography (rural vs. urban), and socioeconomic factors. We intend to provide readers with a broad overview while highlighting gaps in knowledge.
