Abstract
In addition to brief biographical notes, describes the history and development of the W. Ormiston Roy Memorial Visiting Research Fellowships, established in 1990 by Prof. and Mrs. G. Ross Roy in memory of his grandfather, to support research on Robert Burns and other topics in the G. Ross Roy Collection at the University of South Carolina, and records also recent visitors in a related program, the W. Ormiston Roy Lecture series, supported by the same fund.
