Abstract
Our project has multiple goals in multiple domains: support for the environment - both flora and fauna, a significant influx of volunteers for our community partner, experiential learning opportunities for our students, gateways to deeper SL/CE connections for both students and instructors, and enhancement of a previously uninviting (even fear-inducing) public greenspace.

- A response to concern over industrial growth and loss of greenspace. • 7 public preserves - most with public access
- 5,000+ acres of perpetually protected land
- Enhanced through partnerships with regional and community groups
- Year 2 of 5-year plan, with forever applications
- Campus-wide initiative
- Full logistical support
- BIOL, ENGL, FREN, CSCI, SOCY, SPCH, UNIV, etc
- 4 IHEs involved
