Abstract
Discusses Tennyson's career in terms of book history, how he wrote about books in his own poetry, and the libraries at Somersby and his later homes, with extended discussion of books and book production in Lincolnshire in the 1810s and 1820s, and his persistence in using one book format, the "green Tennysons," for his new books from the 1840s till his death.
