Abstract
In this paper the variation of the frictional coefficient of a eutectoid steel on the cemented carbide WC-8%Co with sliding velocity V, normal load P, apparent pressure P, the product P × V (load × velocity) and the product P × V(pressure × velocity), under dry sliding conditions, were studied. The results show that the frictional coefficient μ of the steel in dry friction decreases with an increase of V, P, PV and PV. The rough regression formulas of the relationship between the frictional coefficient and V, P, PV and PV are given. The reason for the changes of frictional coefficient are discussed.
