The Advocate was an official newspaper published by the Black American Law Students Association and later Black Law Students Association at the University of South Carolina School of Law sporadically from 1978 to 2001. In Zine format, the issues included articles written by USC Law professors, South Carolina attorneys, and students. Original copies of the three extant issues of The Advocate published in this digital collection are available in the Law School Archives. For access to print copies of issues of The Advocate and many other print and manuscript collections at the Law Library, contact library staff to make an appointment to use them.
