Abstract

This thesis is a correlation analysis of the 2019 NFL Draft class, analyzing if there is a relationship between what position a player was selected and the amount of value returned in terms of Approximate Value by Open Source Football. The draft was broken down by position and by round to see trends within the data. Using knowledge of how scouting occurs in the NFL, biases were identified that affected its efficacy.
