Abstract

In her thesis, Jocelyn Bell studied the properties of the uncountable Fort space and showed that it was normal, countably paracompact, and collectionwise Hausdorff. This paper answers some of the questions posed in that thesis and shows the space to be collectionwise normal, but not paracompact. We also investigate the ability to generalize these results to higher cardinalities.
