Abstract
Examines (with title-page images) the range of older books reprinted by the Scottish printer John Wilson (1758-1821), of Kilmarnock and Ayr, and argues that these illustrate both continuities and some aspects of change in the Ayrshire culture in which the Scottish poet Robert Burns (1759-1796) spent his early life.
